The Rev. Dr. Benjamin D. Seller has accepted a call to be pastor/head of staff at First Presbyterian Church of Casa Grande. He is tentatively scheduled to lead us in worship beginning Sunday, June 1, 2008. Pastor Ben and his wife, Lauren, both grew up in Tempe. Pastor Seller graduated from Arizona State University after studying opera at the School of Music in the College of Fine Arts, and toured with orchestras and choirs as a tenor soloist.
Pastor Seller entered Columbia Theological Seminary in 1999. He andLauren were married June 1, 2002 in Tempe and they immediately moved to Edinburgh, Scotland, where Ben pastored as an assistant at the high Kirk of Mayfield Salisbury.
Following completion of his Master of Divinity, Pastor Seller moved to Dumas, Texas, to pastor First Presbyterian Church. His five years in Dumas included significant church growth, the birth of the couples first child, Geneva Grace (Gigi) on Aug. 30, 2005 and the completion of his Doctorate of Practical Theology in biblical preaching from Master's Graduate School of Divinity.
In addition to his pastoral service, Pastor Seller enjoys weight lifting, studying theology and following the Sun Devils, Diamondbacks and Boston Red Sox.
